March’s Apples & Onions

  •  I celebrated my very first Mother’s Day as a mother. I’ve enjoyed this new title – with all the joy, love, and responsibility that has come with it- and it was special to have a day dedicated to it.
  • We had a long weekend away as a family in Lisbon. Though it rained most of the time, it was wonderful to be out exploring as a unit of three.

  • W had his vaccines. We’d been through it before, so I hadn’t expected them to be as bad this time around, and in retrospect, it wasn’t too bad as he was just feverish and unwell for a little longer than expected. For one of the first times in his little life, I found myself having to make the call of whether or not to take him to the doctor. I did, but I ended up feeling like I had erred on the side of the overly-cautious. For myself, I’ve figured out where that line is, but having to make that call for another independent being is something I’ve not had to do often. I guess I need to start figuring it out. Also, it’s never nice to have your little one unwell.
  • I’ve fallen behind on my goals for this blog among other things. I have a whole post about it if you care to check that out!

Curious about why it’s apples and onions? Check out January’s post.
